High level of customer service offered by satisfied employees. One reason why WR Suriname can attract high-quality employees is our willingness to pay higher than average wages.
Additionally, by paying our workers well we avoid labor trouble, high workforce turnover, and conflict because our employees are happier.
In times of recession, e.g. the COVID 19 Pandemic our strategy is not to layoff personnel but instead we don’t fill in new vacancies of retired workers. This keeps the moral of our workforce high, which in turn leads to higher productivity.
Committed to reducing our environmental impact/footprint by reducing waste. Plastic shopping bags are banned for use by all our office personnel and works. WR Suriname also give our workers agricultural training, seeds and tools so they can plant their own vegetables and fruits.
WR Suriname invests in upgrading the workforce skills by organizing skill training sessions for our workforce. Younger workers lack basic worker attributes, including teamwork, customer service, and responsibility, McDonald’s decided to train them to be more productive. Interestingly, 90% of employees who attended these skills training courses keep working for us longer.
Costs of Ethics
The potential risks and benefits from taking an ethical stand can be high. However, our
experience demonstrates that ethics pays off in business.
